    Hello experts,

I recently bought Asus N56DP DH11 laptop which came with an external subwoofer. However, when I plugged in the subwoofer I did not notice any sound change. I did not see any alert/popup when the subwoofer was plugged in. Hence I am not sure if it was detected. Are there any settings/configuration to be done in order to be able to detect it?

    Thanks for your inputs.

On mine N56 there is no alert-popup when you plug Subwoofer. Also, there is no particular setting for Subwoofer itself - you can't turn it off when it is connected to the Notebook.

Are you sure that Subwoofer is connected to correct port ( it's the one on the left side of the Notebook next to VGA ) ?
Or try reinstalling sound drivers. You can download newest one from Asus website.
