    Unable to recover the BIOS ROM contents ASUS G50v-a1

    I am trying to update my bios to 205 (i have version 204) through AsusTek BIOS ROM EAsy Flash Utility V1.12 and well everytime i get to the file and try to run the bios update i get this massage

    " unable to recover the bios rom contents"

    Make sure that:

    a) The file is UNARCHIVED, i.e., you should not point EasyFlash to the ZIP file that you downloaded from support.asus.com, but to the unarchived contents of that ZIP archive -- a binary file
    b) The binary file is 512KB in size
    c) The download was not corrupted.

    Hello
    I have the simillar problem : I'm trying to update my BIOS from 207 to 216 version. I have unziped the binary file which is 1,00M in size.
    When I load this file with the Easy Flash Utility, I get the following message :
    "Unable to recover the bios rom contents"

    How do you have bios 216? I thought 210 was latest. You sure you got right file for the G50's?

    oh I'm sorry, I have the F80S
    I downloaded the latest bios version for this model to solve a freeze problem (as I read in another forum)
