I noticed that some W7J users had posted about manually underclocking their GPUs to the minimum clock speeds when not gaming to increase battery life. Have any W3J users tried this? If so, what kind of battery life are you getting?

you can do it in the powerplay options that are in the advanced display options. There are settings for optimal battery life, balanced, and optimal performance. When on battery, I set my gpu to ultimate battery life and my cpu to 365 MHz with Power4gear. With wireless on I can get around 3.5 hours. With wireless off I can get a little over 4 hours. I was occasionally turning off the screen but I was also doing some word stuff and also maybe 1/2 hour of video watching.
Those are rough estimates but I might test it for real sometime.
