Ok using notbook hardware control ive been underclocking my x700 to keep tempertures down when not playing games. Then would return the clockspeed to normal when playing games. But i also found my system has been freezing latley. And it seemed it was after doing this. Happened first when using the DVD drive, then i noticed after returning the clock speed this problem stopped. Underclocked again while not using DVD drive and then i found a couple websites that are highly graphic oriented starting feezing my system. Continued ever time i wne to the pages. I then returned my x700 clock speeds to default and the problem ceased. I was underclocking the x700 fromdefault of 350/300 to 170/130. I dont understand how underclocking the video card could cause a problem like this. Any ideas?

If you clock it too low it will start acting buggy...it happened to mine when I tried to clock that low. Try increasing them to about 200/150 and see if that helps.
