Is it possible to undervolt the Asus M50vm using RMCLOCK? It seems to me that RM clock does not support the newer versions of the processors. Any help would be great, I used the undervolting guide to no effect

Are you sure you checked off the notebook box? Otherwise, it will register as a desktop chip and won't work properly.

RMClock has problems with Penryn+Santa Rosa and also some minor issues with Merom+Santa Rosa. So I can understand that it won't work well with Montevina+Penryn... I would suggest you be patient and wait for an updated version to be released (if ever).
