Hello all,
I just got a new Asus G50 after having my P-6831FX unceremoniously liberated from my ownership at a train station in Brussels and I was wondering:
How does undervolting the P8400 in the G50-X1 work since it has the option to overclock and has half multipliers. Has anyone undevolted?
-
Some people have reported using RMClock or Crystal CPUID to undervolt their P8400/P8600

Yes you can use CrystalCPUID. It recognizes half-multipliers and won't downclock the frequency at the highest multiplier.

Cool, so do you undervolt at the highest overclock to make sure the voltage is enough?
-
That depends upon how much voltage the highest OCed multiplier needs to be stable. If there is some room to drop the voltage, then you can undervolt.
