Well....I'm hoping to undervolt the G51 to get lower temps but the problem is that the P7350 has a multiplier of 7.5 and RMClock doesn't recognize half multipliers.

I don't want to lose some of the speed I got from OCing so I've looked around and saw that some people used Crystal CPUID.

I took a quick look in it this morning but there doesn't seem to be an option it it to keep the voltage there after rebooting. Just wondering how the people here undervolted their G51.

There's CPUGenie too that recognizes half-multipliers.

I have read it quite extensively and much of the thread but basically the problem comes down to this:

    1) RMClock does not support half multipliers (which the P7350 uses) and will never get updated to support them. Attempts to get RMClock to support them doesn't seem too definitive in its success. (If someone does manage to get it to recognize them, please post)
    2) Crystal CPUID doesn't seem to be able to start when windows boot which makes it a really big hassle. (Would greatly appreciate it if someone who uses CPUID can tell me what they did to make it work upon startup)

    Edit:

Yeah, I know there is CPUGenie, but I'm too cheap to get it, but if nothing else works I might just end up doing so.

It's not a hassle at all, just put it in quicklaunch menu or on your desktop.
    One click.Done.

yes and it used to be $999.99 a week ago. You probably could have left those lawns overgrown if you bought it last week!

Well, I've figured everything out. Really simple actually....just fiddled with the task scheduler a bit and everything works perfectly now.

The more you overclock, the less you can undervolt.

Yeah, before undervolting, my CPU would max out at like 69C after about 30 min of Orthos but now its like 64-65C so its not anything extraordinary but its still decent

Does it help with lowering the heat coming from the GFX card?

Not positive but I think it does. I did quite a bit of gaming last night and I think the max temp was 84C which isn't too bad. Before, I'd think it shot up to 90C at one point.

Hi, which program did you use to undervolt you're G51? If i undestood correctly you used Crystal CPUID. I tried undervolting mine with RMClock and I realized it didn't recognized half multipliers so I deleted and left everything stock.

    Thank You

Yeah, I used Crystal CPUID. Just go to Multiplier Management and set the voltages there and then enable them. To get it to load at startup, I used task scheduler to launch the program at login with the /CQ and /HIDE commands

    Are there alternatives to it?
