    Unexpected Freezes

    From time to time,

    Randomly, my laptop freeze and i cant move my mouse or do anything and im forced to hold power for 6 second in order to shut my computer.

    When music is playing and it freezes it keep on the last sound : eaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa indefinitly


    I got g2s-a1 vista premium, 4gb ram, etc

    I updated my gpu drivers and things I dont know what cause this !

    Any idea ?

    Is the laptop overheating, getting too hot? It may be a good idea to try and clean the vents of the laptop with some compressed air (just in case).

    Alternatively, if its running cool and idle, I would download memtest86, burn it to a CD and boot off of it. Make sure your memory isn't generating errors, which is one of the more common reasons for an unexpected crash if the drivers are up-to-date.

    Also, be sure and update all drivers, not just GPU. Audio and chipset would be good choices.

    If it's RAndoM errors, it's usually RAM. :) Test that and post back if the RAM passes.

    But also, lately I've been finding my Firefox just freezes other applications on my system. If I have a Task Manager window open, I can usually ALT-TAB to Task Manager and kill it off and everything unfreezes. Anybody been getting that?
