I believe I uninstalled Asus liveupdate but now there's a problem. I keep getting a message saying liveupdate.exe not found. And the Live Update icon still shows up in the right hand corner taskbar. I'm running Win 7 off an Asus ul30vt-a1 that I recently restored to its native state. I have been pruning bloatware but this recent uninstall caused me trouble. It may have been corrupted or something but Asus Liveupdate doesn't show up anymore in the control panel nor in Revo Uninstaller. But obviously something went wrong.
Can anyone help me tweak this?
Thanks.
As I followup, I went to the system notification and put up the Startup Task manager and somehow ALU.exe was still running. So I disabled it. But it still comes back. So I think the uninstall process didn't do a complete job. How do I re-uninstall this annoying Asus Live Update?
Thank you.
So I tried using System Restore. That seemed to bring back ALU. But when I now tried to Uninstall, it couldn't be completed because I got a message saying that an Install file could not be found so it couldn't be uninstalled.

Try reinstalling it first before uninstalling. You can download it from here: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support-

Thanks a lot! I think that worked.
If I could ask one followup? I have the same problem uninstalling Asus AP Bank, but i can't seem to find a place to reinstall the software. Or at least I don't see it listed when doing a keyword search on the Asus website. -

I don't remember that one myself. I'm not sure that's an actual application, in the bloatware guide it says it's just a shortcut to a website.
