Hello, I recently received this M50Vm as gift from my family member. I was looking into M50Vm reviews, but i couldnt find any model that matches mine:

    Core2Duo(Penryn) T9400 (2.53GHz)
    15.4inch 1680x1050 WSXGA+
    500Gb HDD
    Blueray Combo ODD
    Geforce9600M GS DDR2 1Gb
    6-cell battery
    Vista Home Premium

    Network
    Gigabit LAN
    Modem Port
    802.11n WLAN

    Video IN/OUT
    HDMI
    D-SUB
    Webcam

    Interface
    Bluetooth
    4x USB 2.0
    IEEE1394
    e-Sata
    Express Card

    Miscelleneous
    Fingerprint reader
    8-in-1 reader

My laptop doesnt seem to have Turbo memory, I remember seeing it on some other models, am i mistaken?

Also I read that Geforce9600M GS is capable of Hybrid Graphics to improve battery life, sametime i read that Laptop chipsets need to be setup to provide such feature. Does M50Vm have Hybrid Graphics?

    Help please

    It looks like a M50Vm-B2 or M50Vm-B5 with a Blu-Ray drive

I believe the model number is indicated on the bottom of the unit on a white sticker. Well... there's one on mine anyway.
The M50VM doesn't come stock with Turbo Memory, at least with units sold in the US.

    Nope.

Stats sound like they match the unreleased B3. Lucky you. ;)

The M50Vm does not have hybrid graphics, so its only GPU is the Nvidia 9600GS.

hmm i found one match of my laptop:

    M50Vm-AK005C

and rest of the results came up with:

    M50Vn-AK002C

Anyone know if M50Vm-AK005C is officially released model?

also is it still possible to still install Turbo Memory on M50Vm?

I've read in some threads that you can install the module, but the BIOS doesn't support/recognize it.

Jeebs... What's up with some of y'all and turbo memory....

Reading your specs, it appears to be the M50VM-B2 + Blueray. It has the exact same specs as mine except for that.

And yes, there is no turbo memory included with the B2.

Would you happen to know how much it costs? I know its a gift, but Im curious, if you dont mind asking your family member the price of the M50VM you got.

1,500USD (if my conversion is correct) is a good price for those specs, I suppose. Thanks :p
