Asus was thinking about putting out the A6 as a ensemble model.... however they asked most of their dealers and I think everyone came to the agreement that the A6 would be better as a barebone, because it takes away from the quality and performance and materials that is used on the rest of the line.
I don't know if they are going to go through with it anyway.... but either way, a model like that is going to be offered in one way or another... most likely on the barebone side.
Thanks,
Justin

That's weird, A6U (A6U-5001H) is already on sale in Europe and they are just announcing it now. I don't get it.

According to a recent digi times article(http://www.digitimes.com/NewsShow/MailHome.asp?datePublish=2005/4/29&pages=A6&seq=29), suggests that price might be a bit high. "Asus to debut 15.4-inch notebook for less than US$760"
Thus given that this is very very new, I would hold of buying for a few weeks just incase...could save yourself 200 bucks!

Well, I'm not sure what the A6u is.... but the A6n and A6ne has been out for a long time.. Asus didn't want to sell it here till it was updated to a sonoma chipset..
Thanks,
Justin

Well, since these machines are manufactured in Taiwan, it makes sense that Europe would get them sooner... they ARE closer, geographically [
