This is a noob question I bet, but this is my first laptop ever.Just got my system and I uninstalled to old driver. I went to the Asus website to download the driver and I can't save it to the the Elantech folder in Program files because I don't have "permission." Then I tried to open the zipped folder in another folder and it doesn't let me. Anyone know how to do this correctly?

Have you tried going into your Asus folder and under utilities run asus live updates. That will show you if you have any drivers to update. Make sure you have internet connection before running the update.

    Ohhh really? Thanks.

I figured it out the hard way. I learned that I need to save the zipped folder to a separate folder like "downloads" and then extract the files into the Program Files folder. Very annoying to figure out without touchpad drivers (random double clicks and other weird behavior). Also didn't realize that the latest Elantech driver is not separate from the Asus Smart gestures driver (assuming the Asus is better). Made a big difference. Still not quit a MBA but i'll live with the surprisingly good keyboard and high-res screen.
