Sadly, Asus suck hard about change logs. Especially when they post BIOS update, never have any change logs.

i know! the amount of work to make a changelog is nothing compared to the amount of programming to make the changes, yet a changelog makes a huge difference in customer satisfaction. If they felt like they'd have to make a changelog is so many languages, at least just do it in english, since it is the most universally accepted one and the programmers probably speak english since they'd be using C/C++.

Anyway, what were the changes that you noticed in firefox, manlyputter?

Well not changes inside firefox but the browser button now will detect firefox if its set as the default one. Where as previously it only worked properly if it was set to internet explorer! To fix this before you had to use the other non-Asus utility.

I'll have to test this out when we go home.

I just updated to this new version, and when I did, my wireless button no longer worked and I had no way to turn on my wifi radio - bluetooth still worked fine, as did all the other buttons (including firefox). Anyone else have this? I went back to my old version, and it was fine...

    Thanks,
    Ramy

I tried to use this one on my W3V as well and the wireless button did not work anymore. I did not try the other buttons though. I rolled back to the old driver and now the wireless button works again, but my browser button of course does not work again as well (I am using firefox). Wonder if this driver does not work for the w3v?

Did you uninstall and install the new one?

Did you use the HCONTROL hack previously to installing this?

hcontrol hack allows you to customize applications for the buttons. For example, the play button by defaults only launch Windows Media player or Asus DVD Player.

This hack allows you to launch winamp, itune, etc.

It also allows you to control other wifi product outside of the Intel Pro Wireless too. Such as the Athero card.
