Hi guys, in the market for a notebook with good graphics performance and great battery life, and the ASUS UL30 intrigues me, but seeing as it's an oldddd model (9-10 months old) and the price is still the same as when it was just released, I am very relunctant to purchase it.

Any news on an updated version coming out perhaps with the "i" processors?

ULXXJT are available for preorder with i3-330UM processors only at the moment. Check out xoticpc or gentech.

The ul30vt is extremely cheap right now going for under $700, i would just get that over the newer ul30jt because honestly the i3-330um is not really much of an improvement if at all over the su7300. and the nvidia 310m and 210m are essentially the same thing delivering nearly identical performance. The only reason for getting the newer ul30jt right now is if you must have optimus at the cost of reduced battery life. (ul30vt has more battery life than the ul30jt)

i've been looking for the lowest price everywhere, finally found a UL30VT for $620 today online, tho the seller looks pretty suspicious lol, i dont want to name names, but lets just say their customer service Email is @hotmail...

i noticed xoticpc has price match, and shipping is free and i pay no tax, i wonder if they'll drop $80 on it lol...

Could you provide a link to this? I assumed you meant xoticpc.com but they still have it for $699 (the best legitimate price I've been able to find).
