Has anyone been able to update vista using windows updates? Has anyone even bothered? Last time I tried doing it on my G1s it basically bricked my harddrive... i couldnt recover using the dvd/partition, i couldn't reformat and then reinstall... so basically.. has anyone has any trouble with it?

No such problem on mine. :) Every time I connect to the internet, windows update automatically finds files I need to update and asks me if I want to install them. Haven't experienced any issues as of yet. :)
