I just upgraded my ram with another 1gb, I only had 512mb before so now I have a total of 1.5GB. How do I test or make sure it is running properly. My computer is showing it has 1.5gb of ram so thats good, i just havn't noticed a speed increase.

    Thanks, Miro.

If it doesn't crash, or slow down, then the new RAM is fine - you'd notice a difference if the 1GB stick was bad and you were suddenly running only 512. The speed increase isn't likely to be perceptible in most cases, but you can multi-task much better with 1.5 than 512 and other programs should run smoother and somewhat faster since you can cache the software rather than run them back and forth to the swap file.

Memtest is something you can run if you really want to troubleshoot the RAM, but like I said it's running fine if your system hasn't crashed.

Right... upgrade in RAM is always nice, but not always noticeable. It SHOULD become noticeable once you start running more applications at the same time... but overall, you won't see much of a boost.
