    Upgrade Harddisk of Asus R1H? ideas?

    I'm looking to make it spin faster, but all i know is it runs on 1.8 inch ide drive.

    I'm not sure which can go in there, any ideas? SSD's?

    convert the drive??

    any done any work successfully ??

    SSDs are only 2.5" form factor, afaik, so you're stuck on that point.

    I'm not sure what might be available on the market in terms of 1.8" drives - I thought these were generally only available to OEMs?

    from what i know is the SSD has 1.8/2.5 in IDE form, however those are not the right size to use for the R1H.

    The reason is the HD is a mini size IDE HD, even I can find an IDE HD that runs with the cable, I just cant fit the drive in there. Thats why I'm so lost...

    I read somewhere that Toshiba has similar ones..but i just can't find the right model....

    with the fact that the current one runs at 4800 rpm...it really drags the performance for such a great machine to play with....
