Ok so my V6J has a screen made by Chunghwa and i'm looking at screentekinc.com right now and i see there are a group of 15" lcd screens that are 1400x1050 which is what i have
I also see that there is a 15" 1600x1200" Is is possible for me to use this screen
perhaps somebody can take a look inside to see if they have one of those 15" 1400x1050 models

Best to ask screentek themselves, they should know. The wiring and cables also have to match as well.

    Alright.
i'm hoping the disassembly of the bezel should be easy enough for me and similar to other laptops (i have taken apart 3 other laptops  acer extensa 390, dell lattitude cpx j, toshiba satellite 1805-s254, but i never really put them back into perfect working order -_-)

Usually it is difficult to upgrade the screen like that. If I was to upgrade, I would choose to get an IPS screen, instead of a higher resolution.

V6Va is the only V6 series laptop that ever came with an IPS screen. IPS screens are superior to regular screens in that they have much better/enhanced viewing angles.

Your V6J does not have an IPS screen...

The V6Va's IPS screen is the LG-Phillips LP150E05. It should work in the V6J.

It would work (I almost had to replace my screen, and I was going to get the IPS). I am not sure about putting a new resolution screen in, though, that might be tough.

The IPS one was never sold by ASUS in the V6J, just in the V6Va version for North America, namely the V6F00Va. The IPS one should work in the V6J, but may need a different cable than the one you have. CalebSchmerge has linked ASUS's estore source for buying the IPS one, namely the LG-Philips LP150E05. You may want to shop around for the best price. Also, the LP150E05 has been revised at least once; any version's name will start with LP150E05, and any version should be fine.
