How much of a diffrence will i see in my games, going from a 8800m GTS to GTX 280m. I am thinking a 25-35% increase. I know i will be able to max out any game without *some without AA* except for crysis of course. So how big will the upgrade be and how noticeable?

You are probably correct, especially in the most demanding games. Which card are you going to get anyway? 260M or 280M you state each presently.

Why are you posting about your gateway in the asus forums? And I don't think it is possible to upgrade the gpu because it might be soldered to the motherboard.

And also if you could, its definitely not practical. Those cards go for at least $500 on ebay, That is almost half of how much you bought your gateway for. $500 for a notebook gpu thats about as fast as a desktop 9800GTX+ that goes for $150...totally ridiculous.

If you want more speed, best thing to do is save up for another $1000 bang for your buck gaming notebook with a i7.
