I bought my G72-RXB05 for college during Christmas and BB is going to carry a watered down version of the G73, so I was wondering whats the least expensive way to upgrade to one of those when I go back home to California when the semesters over.

For example, if something were to happen to my G72 while it was still under warranty, would BB be nice enough to offer me a G73 and I pay the difference? Not that I would intentionally destroy my G72 :D .

Then again if there's no cheap way I'll just stick with my G72, I don't usually game often, I'm currently just going my G72 as a desktop replacement for music, movies, school work, web surfing, etc.

Did you buy an extended Geek Squad warranty? If not, there's no chance of you getting a 'free upgrade' through Best Buy.
