Way too expensive. The 2.2 GHz is very fast, you won't notice any difference at all. Maybe 2 seconds faster in SuperPi but thats all. You can better choose for more RAM or a faster hard drive.

For the most part, I believe it's a colossal waste of money, unless you're doing something really CPU-intensive, such as heavy video editing. Also, I'm fairly certain that having your CPU upgraded would void the warranty from ASUS.

Is more RAM even worth it?
I might get 4GB when I run a 64bit OS later in the year when there's actually driver support..but for now I don't think I will.

I think I will upgrade the HD though, to a 7200RPM, even though Hitatchi's 200GB 7200RPM is on the verge to a general release to the public, currently only in dells >.>

Yep. You would see almost no benefit at all from the CPU upgrade, not even in gaming. Go ahead with the HDD if that's what you can best use.

    No dont do it.

You actually have a more exciting chipset for upgrade than mine, and you might have a quite powerful cpu you can put in someday

    But worry about it then

You don't need the CPU upgrade, it's not cost effective, plus the games are GPU limited nowadays.
Secondly, I suggest you take a 1x2GB memory stick (if you are willing to upgrade) and upgrade when you need to, though the performance gain for 2GB+ memory is not noticeable.
