Right now this is what it looks like

    T5500 C2D 1.66
    5400 RPM Hitachi 100GB
    1.5 GB of ram

and im thinking of upgrading to this

    T7400 C2D 2.16
    7400 RPM 200GB
    2.5 GB of ram

Im mostly looking to increase my gaming performance and was wondering would this bump it up a little? And by how much?

In most cases, it probably won't do much for gaming since games primarily rely on the graphics card. You may see some performance increase in RTS games from upgrading the CPU, but as for HDD and ram, those upgrades would tend to benefit your multi-tasking use more so than gaming.

The extra L2 will help on the CPU, the hard disk will load levels faster, and more RAM will give you extra headroom, but it's probably not going to be worth it. I'd save the cash and put it towards a new rig. I sold my W7J years ago... I don't know what kind of games you play but it barely would run most stuff out at the time on low/medium settings.

I just play games like css, tf2, and some rts games. If I were to upgrade, in what order do you think would be best?

Yea, source based games aren't too demanding unless you use HDR... I'd go for the RAM because it's so cheap, if you're really set on upgrading the W7J I'd go for the CPU since the L2 will help, but as David has already mentioned, the GPU is the bottleneck, and there's not much you can do about that... the CPU will help a bit but I'm not sure it's really worth the cash and effort. The RAM would be easy since it's only 1 stick (the other is soldered to the board).
