    Hey, I currently have the Asus 50vt with these specs;

    Intel Core 2 Duo P7450
    4GB DDR2
    9800M GS 512MB

    I was wondering if its possible to upgrade the cpu, what are the best options, and does it support quad core?

    Also, would i be able to throw in Cpus like the T9900, or QX9300? Most of my tasks are cpu based (media, video editing, FL Studio, gaming)

    OR can i overclock this CPU? if so whats the max o/c for it that you guys have experienced?

    the max for the p7450 is about 2.5. and yes you can upgrade. to a t9900 or a x9000or anything less. they DO NOT support quads so dont try.

    Is there not a difference between the P Socket and the 478 Socket? for example, i can still use a p8400 or even a t9800 or even any core 2 duo / core 2 extreme mobile processor?

    Does any1 know if its worth upgrading, or should i stick to the 7450? I hve it clocked at 2.602Ghz right now, seems stable, (ran orthos)

    Also, is the default bios sufficient for any core 2 duo / extreme i wish to install?

    whether you upgrade is up to you. if it is fast enough for you than there is no reason to upgrade. and the default support all socket p(478) processors except quads
