Hello everyone, I have an Asus G1 but as time goes on the graphic card(GeForce 9500M GS) starts to be not enough, from what I remember its possible to change\upgrade parts on this notebook(correct me if I'm wrong), I was wondering if anyone has any advice on which graphic cards would be suitable for this machine(obviously that are better then my current one) and also is it even worth it, would this processor be able to support better graphic cards?
Thanks!

Only thing you could change it to is anything else that was available for it.
I could be wrong as well im new to the asus nb crowd but with the G50/51 and several others the card uses a proprietary mxm setup and with a little work ones between the same model lines tend to work (with a bios module swap 260M from G51 works in G50 and vice versa). For all those I have encountered you cant buy any old video card to put in it the stock one from the same model and on occasion one from a close cousin. -
Short answer - no.
Long answer - G1 futures motherboard soldered GPU. Afaik C90 barebones and G50, G51, G70, G71 GPU's can be replaced since they are made as replaceable boards. On G1 You can only overclock / mod the GPU - cooling (adding additional fan like me) and changing the thermal paste -
Oh well, ill hang on to this for now then, maybe at some point ill get a new one, thanks for the replies.
