Looking to upgrade my stock ram on my ASUS F8Vr (I think its the C1 in America). The top of the line F8 in the series.

    Basic specs are:

    Intel Centrino 2 T9400 2.56ghz
    Stock 4GB RAM
ATI HD 3650 2048Vram hyper memory

I know whats the best low-cas latency ram I can get for this notebook? I heard notebook ram is best at 5-5-5-15? or something similar? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

4-4-4-12 is currently the lowest CAS latency for laptop ram. However, there won't be any noticeable performance difference from upgrading to the 4 CAS latency ram.

Don't bother wasting money on "fast" memory. It's all marketing.

Well my stock memory crapped out on me and gave me a headache. Had BSOD for the longest time until I yanked a stick out so Im running only 2GB now. One was faulty and cleared me of the BSOD.

I asked cause I have to buy a stick to up it back to 4GB. So CAS-4 is the lowest for laptops atm? What brand is good? Can anyone recommend something sub $150? Thanks!
