I haven't actually bought the V1S yet but will be soon, the model that i am buying (UK) has a 200GB 4200 rpm and i'm going to be wanting to upgrade it (i'll probably buy the laptop and new HD drive together), preferably to a 160GB 7200 rpm drive.
What is the easiest way to do this with this notebook?
At the moment i'm looking at the Seagate 160gb 7200 rpm, are there any other better models (i know little about HD's!)
Thanks for your help

I bought a Seagate Momentus 7200.2 160GB for $123.94 from Dell.com, the best deal i found.

It came with a piece of plastic screwed to it for its insertion in the dell latitude...it should be easy to get rid off.
Last quater 2008, 7200HD with more than 200Gb and 16 Mb cache will be out. -
I did it already on my V1S. It's very easy, no problem at all.

I see 250GB WD SATA laptop HDDs floating around already... 8MB cache only, though. More cache is generally better since it gives a slight performance increase (in some cases) and helps save a bit of battery life (again, in some cases).
