I bought the BB version of the G71GX, and I've been loving it since. I don't ask much of my laptop, just need a good laptop to play games, process physics equations, watch movies, etc. I just bought the CT10N Blu-ray player and i'm waiting for that to come in. In the mean time, I've been thinking, whats the point of having a blu-ray if you're going to watch it at 1440x900? So i went a hunting, and i know the G71GX-A1 has a 1920x1200, is it possible to pick up that screen and swap it with what I have? Same video card, so all im thinking is the connections and the screw holes to mount it...

This is the 1440x900 which is a WXGA+ display (what i've got)

    Any ideas?
