I did a fresh install with W7 on a friends X72VN that had Vista from factory, and now I can't get neither WLAN nor BT to work.

Fn + F2 seems to be the problem, and I have managed to get three different pop up icons to show up, but none of them could actually enable the WLAN.

Intel 5100 WLAN is recognized, tried Asus drivers, MS W7 drivers, and latest Intel drivers.
Any of the drivers get installed, but the icon in the taskbar shows no networks.

This guide tells me what each driver does, but I still can't make it work.
Going crazy with all ATK drivers..
Have tried this with no luck.

    BT won't even be recognized.

Does someone here know what to do?

What you can do is click on the the white up arrow key on the lower right hand corner and click on the wireless console 3 icon and that should be able to activate WLAN. Regarding about your hotkey fix you will have to update the ATK drivers. Here is the link below. Should be under utilities.

If you haven't installed Wireless Console, do so, get the latest version that is officially supported for Vista.

I'm a tool. (And WAY too tired.)

Just because Fn + F2 existed, I couldn't imagine a separate physical button on the side as well.

Problem solved, rep to you guys.
