I'm having the toughest time trying to use devmode in Crysis. I know how to use the tilde key, ~ see? But it won't work when I try to use it to open command line in Crysis. I've tried moving "sprint" to a different key than Shift, and all manner of num lock and caps lock combinations, but have had no luck. What am I doing wrong? Could a fellow G50 owner help me out on this?

If you're trying to access the console with the tilde key, you'll have to enable it first.

You can enable it by adding the line con_restricted=0 to your autoexec.cfg and you can then use tweaks while in game in real time and watch with your own eyes the quality and performance changes. Pull down the console while in game by hitting the ~ (tilde) key. From there you can type in a cvar, without a value, and the game will tell you the current value. If you want to test a tweak, just type it in but instead of using an equals sign to put in a value like in the autoexec.cfg, just use a space. Example in console: r_displayinfo 1
If you have the fps shown in game you will see the performance effect of different settings.

It should be in your config folder in your crysis folder.

    hello
if it still doesn't work, try disabling the IR receiver in the device manager, that helped me (it's in the human interface devices section)

2 things here, I think Crysis is one of the games that does not let you use that key for a console until you enable it in a config. (well I think this is version dependent)

The 2nd thing is that there is a strange issue with that key not working in Vista for some games/programs. I forgot what the fix was for it. Turning something off fixes it. the IR receiver may do it like crt said but I think there was something else also.

It worked for me in Crysis though without any mods/fixes/changes
