Hi, I'm planning on purchasing a w3j as soon as I can, however I have to know what it is like to use a widescreen laptop with an xga data projector. I'm a k-7 teacher and I want to prepare lessons at home in widescreen, then change the resolution when I use it with the projector, I've also got an interactive whiteboard (which wont work properly unless the data proj. is working in its native res.)

Bascially. If you have a w3J, can you tell me what happens when you throttle it back to a resolution of 1024*768 or am I going about this all wrong.

    Any advice is welcome.

Changing the resolution of your computer should not give you any problems when using the data projector. The image on your notebook's screen may look distorted, however you should not encounter any problems on the projector. It will be as if you are using a regular aspect notebook.

    Thanks Jace,

I only asked as I recently saw a guy with a wxga laptop (I think it was an LG with an ati Radeon 9700) and he was using it through an old svga projector, the projector just sqeezed up the image, and I found the projected image practically useless, especially when trying to read word docs with size 12 font.
