I'm planning on buying a G1S or G2S (or perhaps even a C90S) in a couple of months and I need some help deciding.

The 17" screen on the G2S is very tempting, but I'm still not sold. Would I be able to hook up my PS3/Wii/360 to the laptop using a device such as this:

    http://www.x2vga.com/

and play games on it? I only have a crappy 20" tube TV that's kinda green on one side plus I won't be bringing that with me to University so it would be great if I could use my laptop to play game consoles. If I know this is possible, then I'll probably get the G2S just for the nice screen! I only hope it's not too big, since I will be taking it around with me sometimes. Would the G2S even fit in the ASUS bag it comes with?

If I find that I really don't have a use for the 17" screen or that it's not that big of a difference from the 15", then I'll have to make the even tougher choice between the C90S and the G1S.

ohh lol luckily i found out about this accidently on the forums
    http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=3535

    read about it there
basically usb video in. i got one for 20 bucks
oh i'm not too sure why he says it uses 100% of cpu, even though i have dual cores it still doesn't even use much of one core

that device that you are quoting only seems to only output to another monitor but the gamebridge i mentioned can go to computer record stuff etc.. you can watch tv too

however the thing is it can't input hd.

Does the G2S have a VGA input? Laptops usually only have outputs. The only problem that you'll have with the Gamebridge is that you will only get 480i resolutions since there isn't a component, VGA or HDMI input.

Almost no notebooks have Video/Audio in, but some media notebooks do.

The GameBridge works as an inexpensive option, but the quality ain't that good if that matters alot.

Try looking for Express Card TV tuners.
