Hi guys, I have a question, I've changed my hdd with a ssd and made a win7 clean installation. I deleted all the partitions also the issd one.
Now I'd like to know how works the Intel Rapid Start Tecnology and how to be sure that is active on my pc, I have to use my normal ssd with this technology or the issd on the motherboard? Another question is about the Express Cache, I deleted it when I changed the hdd, so now I don't know if is better to use it or not with a ssd?
I really appreciate any help, TY.

Come on guys someone here have to know something about this... I hope -
Bump on this one.
It would be fantastic if one could use the 24GB soldered SSD for the Intel Rapid Start Technology, and save 10GB of space on your default HDD/SSD. -
Hello,
if I understand you correctly, you should do this:
- create a partition in the size of your RAM (perhaps you have to shrink your windows partition)
- set partition ID to 84
- install Intel RST driver
All can be done with MS diskpart!
In case of questions - just ask

Yeah I did it with diskpart using a guide posted in an other thread, but nothing changed... I' d like to know how to recognise if RST is active. Anyway can u post a guide to install RST on the issd of the zenbook? It would be really usefull.

I second that! It would be amazing to get RST to work on the issd. When I tried it using the guide, the partition I created on the issd was in GPT so I used not id=84 but the other long thing that was supposed to work with GPT, but nope. And I also haven't found anywhere in BIOS to turn RST on.
If someone got the Rapid Start Technology to work after reinstalling Windows 7 - Please write!!!
