    Hi everyone,
This is my first time posting a thread and I may not be using the correct terminology, so please accept my apologies if you can't understand what I am about to say.

I just recently bought my V1Jp and I tried to connect it to my LCD TV to watch movies and stuff through the VGA port while on battery. Everything appears to be fine when I switched between the TV and the notebook LCD. After I was done, I switched back to the notebook LCD and unplugged the VGA cable then went back to my desk to connect the V1Jp to AC and this is when the notebook LCD begin to have problems. When I first connect the notebook to AC, the screen began to flicker and I had no way to fix that unless I restart the computer. I followed the same step and everytime the LCD would be having problems. Sometimes it flickers none stop and sometimes the LCD just blacks out and the whole notebook won't respond anymore and I had to press and hold the power button to shut it down.

I have attached an image of my notebook LCD screen when it has gone crazy. Any help is appreciated and thank you very much for your time!

You got a better quality picture than that? I'm not sure what you mean by "flicker". Or do you mean more like screen corruption? Constantly "flickers" or intermittently?

When I use any sort of dual monitor configuration, I get intermittent "flicker" in the form of I see a bit of the screen enlarged for a split second, then returns to normal.

    Thanks for the reply!

That's pretty much how the screen looks like at that time. It looks like there are multiple images stacking over each other on the screen but not focused.

It's constantly flickers when it happens. Often there are weird lines across the screen and stuff. Do you think it might be a refresh rate problem?

I'll try to get a better quality picture tomorrow when I test again.

    Hi thanks for the suggestions.

I was still using the version provided by ASUS's driver disk which I think it's 7.1

I tried to install 7.2 by uninstalling 7.1 and it's giving me an error message during setup. It says "Failed to find any installable components" and I am not able to install any drivers.
I have also tried to reinstall 7.1 from the driver disk but didn't work too as the system won't complete the setup (I left it on for the whole night last night).

    Any suggestions??

    thanks!

That link now points to 7.3 drivers. Previous drivers had a bug where uinstall process didn't clean everything out. Give 7.3 a try and see if can clean up the install mess for you.

OK! thank you so much, I'll give it a try and see if it actually solves the problem.
