"Ladies and gents this thread is now closed but not on a good note. Asus is now refusing to allocate inventory of these new models to us. Now their reason is our price is too low. For over a year now they have been pressuring us to keep the price within a certain % of msrp while their other avp partners repeatedly break their rules. We complied every step of the way on our website which always shows the "correct price". Now in my opinion this is illegal but i complied for reasons i can not reveal. This is called price fixing. For a while i was not sure why it is that they enforce a specific price on their more popular vendors while overlooking other sites like buy.com and atleast half dozen others listed on their own where to buy page. other vendors complained about us all the time becuase sometimes our price is too low. I repeatedly mentioned to the management there that i will post on our website whatever price they want but that is the only place where they will have any leverage. Our forum has served us well for pre orders in the past where the price was determined by my self not them. Long story short they are refusing to allocate us any inventory for the v2s and v1s because our price is to low on our forum offer. Now they do not have any clause in any form we sign that says msrp is mandatory. In my opinion it is illegal for them to price fix however i belive we have ben singled out for unknown reasons. There are other vendors that have been known to offer preorders in the past and now. I will honor the price shown in this thread and will not offer these units for sale on our website until all of you have received what is promised. If anyone here feels wronged please feel free to contact asus and express your feelings."
Wondering what peoples feelings are on this?
