I have a V1S notebook (comes with Vista Biz and 2GB ram). 2GB extra RAM was put in and I didn't like Vista so I changed to XP. I'm having a driver issue (with the Nvidia Geforce 8600M GT 512MB). I tried removing the extra RAM in case the bios was not compatible. This enabled the VGA to become visible to the system but it didn't fix the driver issue. So, can anyone help?

Important Edit: Just managed to fix it with 2GB ram, but it still won't work with the full 4GB.

Some more details than "driver issue" would be helpful. What is the issue, and what does it cause?

The driver won't recognise the hardware because of the extra 2gig.

Aha. If I understand correctly, then:

I had this problem with 3GB, the way I solved it can be found in the W7Sg XP installation guide, which is linked from the W7Sg review, which is linked from my signature.

Could you point me to which part/number I need to look at? Thanks in advance
