    have any of you with the v1s had any luck with the webcam?
    ive tried uninstalling and reinstallig drivers checked my pid and i have the Dmax A311, but have had no luck at all getting it to work with any software other than lifeframe..

    Well when I had mine I only used lifeframe. Worked fine for me with that software.

    but what about instant messagin software? trillian aim yahoo etc...

    i just dont understand the point of lifeframe, being that it serves no web use, but to take a pc here and there, whats the point if u cant video chat with friends around the world...im thinking its just crappy driver support

    A friend and I used the program
    www.skype.com
    and ran our laptop webcams on it last night to test it out. He has the Macbook Pro, worked perfect.
    I haven't got a chance to test this out, but I read somewhere that to use Trillian, AIM or Yahoo you have to have the webcam software open.
    Anyway, thought I'd throw that out there.

    wierd, i would leave the lifeframe software open if i could but everytime i goto turn it on while trillian is already running the computer BSOD's on me...
    guess in the next software release all will be well...
