I'm going through the RMA process from hell with Asus right now (started in June), and the latest thing is that they're acting like they never heard about the overnight shipping that that the V1S came with. I haven't had any luck finding the original warranty card they want to have faxed to them, so I was wondering if any of the V1S owners around there would be able to scan a copy of theirs. If so, I'd greatly appreciate it.

v1s-a1 all shipped with 3 years warranty
a 3rd year asus warranty extension was bundled free. dont let them bend you over. if they are refusing warranty you need to contact your dealer and have your dealer accept the service. if your dealer is incapable then you need to take the steps to explain to them that warranty does not just fall on the backs of the manufacturer, something that most dealers do not engage. If your dealer is an unfortunate bystander and has no intention of standing by the product they sold then feel free to contact me directly for any assistance.

Yeah, it took some doing, but I had actually already convinced them of the 3 year warranty by linking to an archived version of the original page over at btotech. I got the RMA work done, and after holding onto it for a month, they sent it back with a non-functioning wireless card. I'm just trying to get them to do the overnight shipping like they used to, since being without my computer for over a week again would be painful, being the computer I use for work.

dont worry you are not alone. its $hitty how they can change the terms of their warranty with no regard for how it used to be and what is expected of them. a behemoth corporation should not practice this

Asus actually refused 2-way shipping for me, with my first few RMAs. Eventually I got a CSR who knew what the Asus 360 program was. It doesn't seem to be an Asus problem, rather a call centre training problem.

Yeah, I got a tech that was aware of the unique situation regarding the V1S, but was unable to give me overnight despite knowing I was supposed to get it. He said he'd have his supervisor contact me within the next 30 minutes which, of course, never happened.

Well, finally talked to a supervisor, and convinced him I was supposed to have overnight shipping. He said "there is no doubt in my mind you are supposed to have overnight shipping", but he would be fired for giving it to me without concrete proof. Concrete proof would be the original website you bought it from saying it's supposed to have overnight shipping. I provided that, but it seems both btotech.com and archive.org are blocked by the web filtering service the call center uses. He said he'd forward the inquiry on, but it would take 24 hours, and at that point, it kind of defeats the point of getting expedited shipping when your computer is dead. Oh well, maybe on the return trip.
