I have an odd issue on my V1S - when playing back media fullscreen, there is a persistent 'tear' in the video in the middle of the screen. Just wondering if anyone else had seen this and if they knew what causes it.

Well if a game has screentearing then you need to enable Vsync. That prevents tearing. Guess It should work the same with video's.

You could also try updating your drivers.

check the cpu usage. it should not be 100% while in media player. if it is then check to make sure the cpu is reported as 2.4ghz and not downclocked. power4gear may be set to less then full throttle on ac which is not normal

In any case media playing should work smoothly at the lowest speed of your CPU.

i'd just try different codecs and a different media player.
