    Hi,

are any members in Taipei able to tell me the price of one of these in a street store such as Nova?

I was in HK last weekend, and will be in China & HK this week, flying to Taipei at the weekend. I want to pick one of these up during my trip if possible. I didn't manage to see a V1S in HK at ther weekend - only V1JPs, G1S & G2Ss.

    Can anybody help?

    Cheers,
    Steve

I was in Taiwan during the last two weeks of August and wasn't able to find any of the santa rosa based Asus notebooks. I'm sure things have changed in the last month and half, but price wise, I didn't think it was all that much cheaper (in some cases more expensive) in Taiwan for current generation notebooks.

I would skip all the large department stores and look in the speciality shops/electronics districts. Best of luck finding one at a good price =)
