I am really happy with my V1S and very impressed by all those nice features it has for me. :D

But there is one thing (the only thing!!) I am worried about: the chassis. :(

    Look at this video:
    Asus V1S chassis flex

I can even produce right-clicks without touching the button...

Then tell me about your V1S. As most users here told me that they don't have this problem and I cannot belive that I am the only one because all V1S have to be more or less the same, I am opening this poll.

Does yous V1S show the same or a smller amount of flex or even none?

Do you also have the "right-click feature" (you can see it in the video!)?

EDIT: Don't forget it is a multiple choice poll. Vote for the amount of flex you have and also if you have the other issues.

Damn, that looks like a lot of flex. Have you heard anything from people who have exactly the same model as you (i.e. the V1S releasd in your region)? From what I've read, no other V1S users have anywhere near that much flex.

I was getting similar replies from the german users. But they were not really sure and I've been the first of about only five users who got their laptops there 'till now.

I have a little flex, but nothing I noticed until I went looking for it. I do have the right click "feature" but again, nothing I noticed until I specifically tried.

Saw your video, and I am definately shocked, but as previously mentioned, I wouldn't apply that much pressure at that particular area, but regardless, it looks rather easy for you. I did try it and I was not able to produce that much flex to create a right click.

Either way, I don't see how this will affect a situation where a drop can accidently happen.

You're right. I don't know whether this means a disadvantage in such a situation.

Perhaps it's even better becaue the chassis serves as shock absorber... :D

Anyway, the chassis should be stable and the parts inside should not be able to move.

I think (for me) it's more on the left side over the modular bay, the right palmrest is perfectly stable. Even the left side does not have what I would consider a serious amount of flex:I can rest my palm on it and I can't tell that it is flexing a little bit.

I can see it bend a little when I put my hands on it in order to type on the keyboard. But just a bit, nothing that anyone would recognize without concentrating on it.
