I downloaded it, and pressed the run 3Dmark06 button.
So whatever the default was is what it got ran at.
Sorry I can't be of more help, but I'm almost 100% sure it's at what you're asking.
It's the same score just about as I got on my Dell Inspiron 1520 before I sent it back.

Bryan my review on the frontpage has the 3dmark06 scores in Vista and XP at 1280x1024, 1024x768, Overclocked and at stock.

There is one thing I just can't undestand: You and Zydan said you can easily produce rippling on the screen when you push the lid but there is no flex at the wrist pads...
I can hardly produce any rippling and there is a huge amount of flex at the wrist pads (not the keyboard!) and I can bend the whole chassis of my V1S!
And Matt, you said the screen is quite dim... well, I love this screen! -
Edit: Sorry, wrist pads, what exactly does flex in the wrist pad mean? I think possibly I do have some, sometimes when resting my wrists and typing the cursor jumps around. -

Cool, I'll check it out~
My left click has loosened up and is feeling a lot better. I was think about switching the right/left click button in the options. . . . hmmm. . . . -
Yeah, my touchpad buttons still feel a little "tight" but I'm getting used to them. I haven't started analyzing the whole battery issue, yet, but so far I am loving this laptop.
There are still some things I need to test out/configure though:
- eStata port
- HDMI port
- LightScribe (burned a DVD, but I don't have any LS discs, yet)
- docking station
- probably more things I am forgetting, right now -
I haven't burned a dvd yet, how'd that work out?

Zydan your issue regarding the cursor jumping around, it is because your hand touches just slightly touches the touchpad. When typing jusst disable the touchpad. There is a button located right beside the power button. So when your typing disable the touchpad. When you need it enable it, its quite nifty. I wish all laptops had this button.
With regards to flex, my experience is the same as Zydan, Matt and MysticGolem has experienced. -
Does anyone know if the bios has the option to enable the Intel VT extensions? This is an cpu instruction set for improving the performance of virtualization (vmware, xen). Usually it is an option that needs to be enabled in the bios.
TIA! -
I tested out the HDMI some more if anyone is interested.
It works great, full resolution and sound.
To get sound you have to set HDMI as the default under Realtek HD Audio Manager. -
I have yet to try burning CDs or DVDs within Vista. -
sounds like overall a good machine, but maybe the build quality is a bit behind what people expected...
fair summary? -
With V1S battery Wear is a major Problem.

how do you get nvidia control panel?? i wiped my v1s and replaced with a fresh new installment of windows vista ultimate... so i no longer have it. i couldn't find it online and the latest drivers won't install for the card.
-
^You prolly have to go to ASUS's website and dl the nvidia drivers from there. Those should work.
-
Hayn-Punch, The drivers from Nvidia's site will never install you need to go to www.laptopvideo2go.com as they modify the drivers to let them run on laptop cards.
-
-
-Rightclick My Computer Icon
-Click properties
-click device manager
-Go to video and right click on the video card
-click update driver
-click browse from location
