Has anyone been able to get this to work?

the mouse syncs up fine, but for the life of me i can not get the keyboard to sync...

I tested it out my xp desktop at work, all is well, tried it on my home desktop all is well...

i even installed the ms software which i never do...and it still doesnt work...

it shows up in the BT manager, and it goes to sync and auto puts in a passkey, but then it fails everytime...

ive tried to manually assing the passkey as well still no avail...

    any input would be great
    TIA...

Bluetooth stack might need to be changed. Someone had mentioned that certain types of BT stacks are more compatible (Widcomm?) with third-party devices than others.

The Bluetooth stack on my V1J is made by Toshiba. I don't use a whole lot of BT devices, so I couldn't really comment on the compatibility but I've heard it isn't quite as good (I suppose the peripheral manufacturers tend to use Widcomm's BT stack as their test bed?).

Actually, I would say uninstall the laptop's BT, use the BT transceiver and drivers which came with the keyboard and see if it works first. Maybe it's a Vista problem? Lots of stuff on Vista still doesn't work 100%...

    Yeah, it does. :(

Alternatively, you could try to hunt around for a newer version of the Bluetooth driver for the V1S... (ie: not from ASUS' site).
