    Hi,

I'm looking at purchasing a V1S-B1 from excaliberpc and want to upgrade the HDD to a 7200rpm 160gig - when they say upgrading does that mean they will replace the original hdd, or do they just add an additional hdd to the notebook?

I noticed there is an option of a 200gb hitachi 7200rpm upgrade but they still charge you almost full price for the drive - what happens to the original drive that came with the system?

    thanks
    Stephen

It usually means replacing. You can ask to get the drive separately and get a price match on it if the price is too big. The V1S-B1 can hold up to two drives, with the second one being installed in the DVD-RW bay.

You should ask them directly. Generally an upgrade should be in the form of a drop down and radio box. I dont know. Maybee they just did it the easy way by cross promotion instea dof making a dedicated config page
