When I purchased the V1s in late 2007, one of the big draws over other models was the advertised 3-year North American warranty. I'm absolutely certain I saw this on multiple websites, and was never told that there were special guidelines to receive this extension.

However, today when I called tech support, the woman on the line told me my 2-year warranty was expired. I'm confused. She told me that if I had any receipts, they could look it up, but I registered the computer right when I bought it, and my only remaining receipt is a confirmation/shipping e-mail, which does not mention a 3 year warranty.

Am I crazy, or was this an offer with the V1s?
Was I supposed to follow special instructions to get this extension?
Is there any chance they are actually going to correct this and let me send in my computer or should I start putting aside money for a new computer before this one totally poops out?

    Thanks!
