I'm having a problem with my brand new V2Je. For some reason whenever the laptop is plugged into the AC adapter the computer won't shut down. It powers down for about 5 seconds and starts right back up again. When its on battery power I don't have this problem, only when its plugged in.

I have the latest firmware 207 and I've made sure all my drivers are updated. I even did a clean install from the recover CD, but still experiencing the same problem.

I'm also having issues with sleep and hibernate which don't work at all, they simply hang the computer and I have to power down by holding the power button for 4 seconds.

Please help! I'm going on a trip tomorrow and need this computer, otherwise I would send it back. Plus its awesome looking and everything else works great, so I don't want to get rid of it =)

don't know why it won't shut down....but try disabling your webcam when you go into hibernate/sleep to see if that might solve your problem....

Thanks for the help... I think its a hardware problem, I tried installing XP and I still get the same issue with shutdown. I'll probably have to return the computer and just get a new one. Its a great machine, definitely want the same one.

If anyone has any ideas I'd still appreciate them.

    Thanks!
