I've been using my v6j without batteries for two weeks and today when i plugged the battery back, the laptop would not boot. So i hooked the laptop to the a/c to charge the battery and after a few hours, i noticed that the charging led was still on. I unplugged the laptop from the a/c and tried to boot from the battery, but it would still not boot. Weird. I plugged it back to the a/c and it boot just fine, but when i remove the a/c it just switches off as if there was no battery. I ran mobmeter to check the battery. Mobmeter reports that the wear level is 5% with still plenty of juice left (98% charge) I see it trying to charge the battery at 16.5V and charge rate 360mW, but the charge capacity does not change. I cleaned the contacts, ran the batt calibration, but still it wont boot nor charge the battery. Any ideas what's wrong? is it the motherboard or the battery? :(

What was the charge level when you stored it at the beginning of the two weeks?

I think the only way you are going to find out, is to try another battery.

easier said than done somtimes i know.

    good luck.
