I have a V6J and recently it has stopped charging and turning on from the ac adapter... Could this mean my board is broke? can i somehow fix this on my own? i ran out of warranty and i dont want to buy an entire new motherboard for 300$

Could be something as simple as the AC adapter is dead. Or, the AC connector attachment to the MB is loose, but that isn't something that you can fix on your own since it would have to be re-soldered on.

You're right, Asus won't touch it. Eddie @ BTOTech might be able to help out - they do a lot of in-house repair work.
