This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     V6J LCD backlight issue - V6V harness too short

    So I've got one of the problems described in the old thread http://forum.notebookreview.com/asu...-backlight-switch-problem-5.html?nojs=1#links

    where the wiring harness for the inverter that runs through the hinge is partly damaged.

    But... I bought the V6V replacement cable set, as suggested, but no way will it fit the V6J. All of the cables in the kit were way too short.

    Just wondering if anyone ran into this problem (cables too short) and would have any advice.
