    Hi there,

Where are you in the UK? I work in London (near Oxford Circus) only 10 minutes walk to Totenham Court Road, I go down every now and again at lunchtimes to physically see and touch the laptops, they have V6J and a reasonable ASUS range at about half a dozen shops along Totenham Court Road, also Micro Anvita stock Asus if you are no where near London.

I have see an Asus V6 and W3V side by side and I was astonished at how similar they were!

They are similar in width with the V6 being a bit deeper and the V6 is actually thinner than the W3, which makes the V6 a true marvel (if you look at the two side by side the difference in screen size vs chassis size is clear, the W3 has quite a large bezel, where as the V6, with its drop hinge lid and thin bezel really maximises the screen area while keeping the chassis tight.

You have to see this in person, if you did I am sure you would buy one straight away, the V6 is pure class! beats the hell out of any Dell I have seen, I would even rate it over any mac book, the V6 is serously thin, and the brushed aluminum sets it off.

But heay thats just my opinion, if you wanted to make a trip to London, i could go down at lunch time and make sure they have the V6J on the shelves.

    Cheers :D

Im in Haywards Heath, West Sussex. So about 45 mins on the train. What stores have them, i might make a trip into London just to take a look.

The only reason why i'd go mac is to go with a different OS. Also the mac has some added extras like the camera.

Yes but what is the Aspect Ratio? On the Power Book G4 15" it's 16:10. I was told that the V6J is the same as the Powerbook g4 15".
