    I was looking at the pictures of the V6J and it looks like the distance from the front to where the display is is way too long. Do you guys agree? I think it makes the V6J awkward and unappealing.

    It's going to look longer than the widescreen notebooks, because you have a regular ratio 15" screen to cover and protect - see here http://www.proportable.com/ensemblecomparison.htm

    With the increasing popularity of the WS chassis, people are getting used to this as the default.... when the WS first came out, everyone was talking about how short or squished the screen looked, esp in the 14" and below. Funny how times have changed.

    actually the v6 series is one of the nicest looking notebooks out. its as wide as a 14.1 widescreen notebook. and only like1.5in taller. and as far as 15in notebooks go the screen has a different hinge system than all notebooks. only the apples use the same so the screen is lower and isnt as tall as most 15in from the base. so im not sure what you are talking about. and its super thin which makes carrying it even easier.

    From the pictures thats just what I notice. Maybe since you have seen it first hand you can say differently. But from the pics it looks a little too tall.

    I do know what you mean. everyone is used to widescreen now. but really its barely bigger than a 14.1 in. so close that both are equally portable. its the same as having a 14.1 also because the v6 is wide as the 14.1 so movies look good in widescreen. and sometimes the 14.1 can feel cramped when there is lots of text so its nice to have that 1.5 inches more.

    Not really, its almost as thin and short as you can get, the bezel is fairly small, and the LCD is less then an inch off the base.

    V6V = V6J

    Same chassis, slightly different parts of the finish and new touchpad.
